The smoking fish!

Recent research has shown that giving regular cigarette smokers 4.7 g of Omega 3 (2.7 g of EPA and 2.0 g of DHA) results in a significant decrease in the amount of daily smoking.
This study illustrated that there was an 11.2% reduction in smoking and a 25.6% reduction in tobacco craving within just one month of receiving the above mentioned dose of fish oil.
Omega 3 EPA and DHA have been shown to work on several neurotransmitter pathways in the brain, with a deficiency resulting in poor functioning of the mesocortical systems associated with reward and dependence mechanisms.
So anyone struggling to quit, should supplement with six capsules of fish oil daily, using high quality Omega 3 capsules with at least 500 mg of EPA and 300 mg DHA in each capsule. Beware not all fish oil capsules are created equal!
