The pleasure of plants

Over the past few years I have been on an indoor plant mission! Yes, I think I may have slowly mastered the Green Thumb (thanks grandad)!
My kitchen windowsill has an abundance of green leafy friends in a weird variety of shapes and sizes. And the pleasure these little friends give me each day is immeasurable. My dining room is peace lily replete along with other large specimens, standing tall and happy in the afternoon sun.
When I returned from France last year, my leafy friends were absent, still at their babysitter’s home. My house felt empty and void of life. (Please let’s not even mention the fact I am not in my beloved France this winter!)
The mere task of watering and caring for these beings is soothing… keeping then healthy and alive is a delightful duty. Water and sunshine important for humans and plants alike.
We all have a little more time on our hands now, so I urge all who do not own a green soul, to start with one, and become lovingly addicted to expanding your verdant collection!
