During these uncertain and unsettling times, we need to take control and manage all those things which will improve the health and happiness of all.

Firstly and obviously we need to remain well. (I’ll address how to enhance our immune response in a separate article later). It is essential that we obtain excellent nutrition from our diet.

Adequate protein, complex carbohydrates, and abundance of fresh vegetables of every colour and fruits high in vitamin C. Such as berries, citrus, kiwi fruit. And, of course, at least two litres of water daily. Sugar depletes the immune system, so get rid of it now! Look after your adrenals by limiting caffeine to a maximum of twice daily.

Keep up your exercise. . . be creative. Gardening, walking, skipping, weight training at home with some heavy household items. Hire an exercise bike or treadmill, hit the floor with push ups, planks, even the dreaded burpee!

Try to quieten the mind. Meditate, read a novel, plant some seedlings, and light some candles.

Be generous to all around you. Giving is joyous and rebounds exponentially.
