Thanks for the many interesting recipes submitted in the quest to find a dairy-free yoghurt type substitute. Also I appreciate those patients who drew my attention to a few products on the market I was unaware of. I’m on a mission to have several non-dairy yoghurt substitutes on hand at all times!
Sadly there can only be one winner, and that is Linda Johann for her Almond Cream recipe. It is delicious (see below).

Linda’s Almond Cream

½ cup almonds
½ cup soaked dates
Extra ½–1 cup water
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Pinch cinnamon
Mix all ingredients in blender until smooth. The amount of additional water you add, will depend on your preference for a smooth or crunchy consistency.
